After what he said during his interview maybe she felt like she owed it to him, to save him. She was looking, for him. Only he wasn’t looking for her in return, something she was unaware of. The odds of finding him were not in her favor, and she would never find him. Instead, Clove, the girl from District 2, found her first. It all happened so fast, but that night I’m sure he saw her face in the sky, staring down upon him. Sometimes, I wonder why he didn’t stay with her, after confessing his love for her. But none of that matters now. His name and face may be victors, but his heart and his mind are the ones who lost in those games. His face says it all, that he would trade places with her in a heartbeat.”
